The Venice AI alternative

Private and unrestricted - proven, not promised.

Venice made private, uncensored AI a category. OpenGradient goes further on the part that matters: anonymity enforced by protocol (encrypted relays plus secure enclaves), frontier chat models in the same tab, an unrestricted video studio with an AI director - and pay-per-use credits instead of a monthly subscription.

Where the category still falls short

A privacy policy is not a privacy architecture.

Most private AI products - Venice included - ask you to trust how they handle your prompts. That trust may be well placed. But if privacy is the reason you're switching, the stronger position is an architecture where no one, including the operator, can tie your questions to you in the first place.

Policy privacy depends on the operator

“We don't store your chats” is a promise about server configuration. Promises change with pricing tiers, acquisitions, and subpoenas. You can't audit a promise.

    Subscriptions tax light users

A monthly plan bills you the same in a heavy month and an idle one. If your usage is bursty - most people's is - you're paying for the ceiling, not what you used.

The questions people actually bring here

“Is my prompt really unlinkable from my identity - or just unlogged?”“Can I use Claude and GPT here, or only open models?”“What does it cost if I only use it a few times a week?”

    Here's how OpenGradient is different

    What switching actually gets you

    Anonymity by protocol

Oblivious HTTP relays split who you are from what you ask; prompts are decrypted only inside attested secure enclaves. No single party - including us - holds both halves.

    Read the architecture

    Credits, not a subscription

1,000 credits = $1, spent only when you send a message or render a clip. Packs from $10. Nothing renews, nothing expires quietly - idle months cost zero.

    An unrestricted video studio

Open video models (Wan, Happy Horse) with no provider-side prompt moderation, plus Veo, Kling, Seedance and Grok Imagine - and an AI director that plans multi-scene videos.

    The anonymity layer

Switch for the proof, stay for the studio.

Not a policy promise - a protocol. No single party, including us, ever holds both your identity and your question.

    1. Encrypted on your device

Messages are encrypted locally before they leave your browser.

    2. Anonymized by Oblivious HTTP

Network relays split who you are from what you're asking. No one sees both.

    3. Unlocked only in a secure enclave

The model reads your prompt inside attested hardware that never learns who sent it.

ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini - one tab away.

When the task calls for a frontier model, switch mid-conversation. Same anonymity layer, same chat, no extra subscription.

    Questions, answered

    Frequently asked

How is this more private than Venice?
Venice's privacy is primarily a data-handling policy: prompts aren't stored server-side and history lives in your browser. OpenGradient's privacy is structural: requests travel through Oblivious HTTP relays so the network layer that knows who you are never sees your content, and prompts are decrypted only inside attested secure enclaves. You don't have to trust an operator's configuration - the protocol does the separating.
Do I need crypto or a token to use OpenGradient?
No. You can start free without a card, then buy credit packs by card or stablecoins. There is no token gating any feature.
Is it actually cheaper than a subscription?
If you use AI in bursts, yes: credits are spent only on what you run, and a $10 pack has no clock on it. If you're a heavy daily user, cost depends on your model mix - frontier models cost more per message than open models, and every price is shown before you send.
    What does “unrestricted” mean here?
Uncensored open models answer questions mainstream assistants refuse, and our unrestricted image and video models run without provider-side prompt moderation. Illegal content is not allowed, and 18+ capabilities sit behind their own gate.
