The no-code fal alternative

The models on fal, without writing a line of code.

fal is excellent inference infrastructure - for developers. If you landed there trying to actually make videos, OpenGradient's Video Studio runs the same class of models (Wan, Kling, Veo, Seedance, Hailuo) in a browser: prompt, aspect ratio, duration, generate. One credit balance, private by architecture.

    Infra is not a product

You wanted a video. You got an API reference.

Model APIs are built for engineers shipping apps: authentication, endpoints, payloads, per-second billing, queue polling. That's the right shape for infrastructure - and the wrong shape for a person with an idea and twenty minutes.

    Code before the first frame

API keys, SDK installs, request schemas, storage for outputs - the setup tax lands before you've seen a single generation.

    Developer billing, developer accounting

Per-second GPU pricing across dozens of endpoints is great for engineering teams with dashboards - and opaque if you just want to know what this clip costs.

The questions people actually bring here

“Text to video with Wan 2.7, 16:9, ten seconds - just give me a box to type in.”“Animate this product photo with Kling.”“Which model is best for realistic humans? Let me try three.”

    Here's how OpenGradient is different

    Same model class, product-shaped

    A studio, not an endpoint

Pick a model, type a prompt, choose aspect and duration, generate. Image-to-video, first/last-frame chaining, styles and upscaling included - no payloads.

    One balance, visible prices

Every model shows its price before you run it. Credits work across chat, image and video - 1,000 credits = $1, packs from $10.

    Private by architecture

Prompts route through an anonymity layer, and video share links expire 24 hours after generation. Your creative experiments aren't a public portfolio.

    The anonymity layer

Make the video. Skip the integration.

Not a policy promise - a protocol. No single party, including us, ever holds both your identity and your question.

    Read the full security architecture
    1. Encrypted on your device

Messages are encrypted locally before they leave your browser.

    2. Anonymized by Oblivious HTTP

Network relays split who you are from what you're asking. No one sees both.

    3. Unlocked only in a secure enclave

The model reads your prompt inside attested hardware that never learns who sent it.

    fal vs OpenGradient Chat

If you're shipping an app, use fal. If you're making videos, use a studio.

    Questions, answered

    Frequently asked

Is this a criticism of fal?
No - fal is world-class infrastructure and parts of our own video pipeline run on providers like it. The point is surface area: an API is the right tool for building apps, and a studio is the right tool for making things. This page exists for the second group.
Are these the actual same models?
The studio catalog includes the open and hosted models the developer platforms carry - Wan 2.5 through 2.7, Kling, Veo 3.1, Seedance 2.0, Hailuo 02 and more - selected and configured per task, with the current lineup always visible in the model picker.
What if I am a developer?
Then you may genuinely want the API - or you can use the studio for exploration and prompt development before you commit an integration. Many of our users do both.
